In 1852 The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) was established to become global leaders in building a better quality of life. ASCE continues this goal with the advancement of science and profession of engineering to enhance the welfare of humanity. ASCE's basic goal set is comprised of:

  • Develop Leadership

  • Advance Technology

  • Advocate Life Long Learning

  • Promote the Profession

ASCE provides a pathway for bulding leadership skills, exchanging ideas, and creating lifelong professional relationships.

Perhaps one of the most important services the organization provides is key contacts with state and federal representatives. It is important to let law makers know what challenges are facing our country and provide them with the most complete information on the needs facing our infrastructure. Younger Members (35 & under) help young engineers to grow personally and professionally by taking advantage of diverse programs and opportunities provided to them through ASCE.

Continuing Education Credits and Personal Development Hours are offered throughout the year to fulfill  local requirements for licensure. Hundreds of seminars, workshops, webinars & conferences occur each year which satisfy these credits and help sharpen your skills as an engineer.

ASCE also provides many opportunities to become involved with local activities and programs. These programs can be found on our website or you can click here to "Get Involved.
