The 2nd. Annual San Antonio
Branch ASCE Volleyball Tournament was held on Friday, August
8, 2008 here in San Antonio, Texas. Eight teams participated
in the beach volleyball event. The winner of the tournament
was the San Antonio Water Systems team. The $200 raised thru
donations from the players was donated to John Jay High
School Science and Engineering Academy.
We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the competition. There is a
plan for a 2009 Engineer Olympics Fund Raiser coming soon.
It will include volleyball, softball, tennis, track, speed
walking and basketball that will be held on different dates
during 2009. Let me know if you are interested in finding
out more information about the events. We also plan to have
a Basketball Tournament within the next 2 months.
