Hey everyone! So far all our events have gone great! First I want to thank everyone that has already done a presentation. I know some kids get more out of it than others do. I have heard nothing but good things from all the teachers we have worked with so far and I hope you are all having fun doing the events.

 

Our next event is coming up next week at Virginia Myers Elementary School. The career day there runs from 9 to 10:10am and then again from 1:30 to 2:40pm. I need at least two people to volunteer to give presentations to the kids. There are a total of 6 twenty minute presentations. So the person in the morning would give 3 presentations between 9 and 10:10 and the same for the afternoon person. There will be no time for an activity since the sessions are so short. We could maybe do a quick demonstration or just ask the kids easy questions about civil engineering and had out candy or something. They have snacks and refreshments for the presenters from 8-9am and 12:30-1:30.
 

Also, I am in the process of setting up a presentation at Ronald Reagan High school on December 18 and 19. There will be 4 ninety minute presentations each day. We will need 8 speakers to speak to all the kids in physics pre-AP and AP classes. This should be really fun since we have such a long time with the kids and we can come up with some really great activities. I’ll give you guys the times of these presentations closer to the date.
